About Christa Reihl

I have always had a persisting passion for helping people.

My desire to make a difference in people’s lives led me to achieve my Bachelors in Human Services from Saint Mary’s University. This enabled me to embark on my first career in Therapeutic Recreation at nursing homes caring for elderly residents.

Massage therapy started out as something I did on occasion while working with the residents. I used massage and music therapy to uplift their spirits and help soothe their bodily and emotional aches and pains.  The ideas of massage as the next step in my career blossomed as I saw the impact that it had on the residents’ daily lives. It was encouraging to observe improvement in their overall mobility and the positive ripple effect that it seemed to have on their mood.

The residents inspired me to pursue an education in massage therapy. I now not only have an Associates of Applied Science in Massage Therapy from Northwestern Health and Sciences University, but I am also board certified through The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB), the highest in standards in the massage therapy and bodywork profession.

I continue to expand my skills and techniques staying up to date on the latest trends in massage therapy by taking classes and earning certificates for specific methodologies conducive to my or my clients’ interests and needs.
